The solar panels will need to be installed on a south facing rooftop or somewhere that gets a lot of sun every day. After you have those installed you will need to install the generator that will hold the power so that it can be used when you need it. The final step is to rewire your home so that the wires connect to the generator.

One other thing you must take into account when you are planning a do it yourself solar power system is that you are also going to need a backup power source for those days when you won’t produce enough solar powered energy. If you have a quality well sitauted system most of the time you won’t need this backup system. You may even end up with an excess of power and can end up selling it back to the power companies. If you lucky enough to be in that situation not only has your do it yourself solar power system helped you to become self sufficient you could also make a profit from it.
